Good morning – or is it?
Today, we wake up in Bendigo to a “code red” and what may well be a confusion of advice.
Warnings exist – and are issued – with only one purpose. With only one performance required of them. To elicit appropriate protective behaviour.
I have looked at the advice and I am not fleeing south. I will stay home. Partly because in the balance of things I think it will be best. However I think there may be confusion around town – especially given the advice (below) of going to the pictures. This warning is supposed to be about bushfires, not heatwave. Plus, we are a regional centre advised to leave.
A circumstance where advice may cause confusion and erode confidence.
